Artist: Karen Carlson began working with leather during California’s craft renaissance of the early 1970s, turning a love of sewing into a lifelong exploration of leather design. Since moving to New Mexico in 2005, the region’s vibrant culture and her passion for flamenco dancing have inspired handbags known for bold color, rich texture, and a sense of movement and spirit. Each piece is individually handcrafted by Karen with the hope of bringing lasting joy to its owner.
